 Just watched Cloverfield again for the 5th time. Funny, I remember last time when it was shown here last January. Some of the people hate it and some of the people love it. The people who hate the movie are the ones who easily got dizzy and didn’t understand the movie at all. The movie is not a Godzilla or Transformer big budget type of movie. If you have followed how JJ Abrams(producer) markets the film. He markets it using an unusual viral marketing on the web. Using a lot of clues just to make people really interested in the movie.Cloverfield was a hybrid of Godzilla and Blairwitch. It was shot using a digicam, that’s why I understand that a lot of people might get dizzy specially the fast shots while they are running or under attack by the monster. I think the movie was really successful and it actually break records for movies opening in January. The movie for me was great, the monster is really unique and the experience is like a rollercoaster ride. You will feel that you are in there running and escaping new york as the monster unleashes hell! |
